Dar Kotaiba was established in Damascus in 1978 by its owner, Dr. Muhammad Sheikhani, and quickly established itself as one of the most famous avant-garde publishing houses in Syria.
Since its inception, the House has sought to focus on the scientific and intellectual level aimed at its publications, in a way that primarily serves our Arab-Islamic cultural heritage, and then covers all branches of human studies.
During nearly a quarter of a century, the house has issued more than 400 titles, covering Arab and Islamic heritage, applied sciences, medicine, engineering and electronics, literature, history, and naturalness.
The house also established a branch in Beirut (Lebanon), in 1985, to double its activity and expand the area of its publications within the largest possible area in the Arab world and the world.
The house has participated in more than one hundred international, Arab and local book fairs, and it is always striving for more progress and distinguished cultural achievements that preserve the house’s line and its ambitious scientific aspirations.
